The opening of the new Academic year at the BAUHAUS UNIVERSITY WEIMAR gathered more than a hundred architecture students on a newly restructured area in the Campus. In a two-week research the students created together with the choreographer Massimo Gerardi and their University Professors eight different scenes about the actual theme of DISTANCE. The result will be presented soon in a video-installation
Throughout the Winter Term 2020/21 Massimo Gerardi will conduct a dance and body movement research with students of the BAUHAUS UNIVERSITY WEIMAR. These workshops will serve as a source of inspiration to provide impulses for future designers and architects - guided by Prof. Luise Nerlich - to develop concepts and personal strategies for architecture and stage design based on body movement

CLASH
The duet version of CLASH has been performed on the 30th and the 31st of July 2020 at the Festival Zwischenräume in Salzburg (Austria)
subsTANZ is the label under which the choreographer Massimo Gerardi presents his new dance projects in the Free-Scene. Dealing with actual and relevant themes of our contemporary society, the productions range from creations for conventional stages to site-specific projects. Theme-linked research on movement and occasionally on the spoken word leads the choreographer Massimo Gerardi to stage situations which both capture and challenge the audiences. Since 2012 international dancers, composers and set/costume designers have been highlighted in manifold productions of subsTANZ which have been financed a.o. by Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachen, Amt für Kultur und Denkmalschutz Dresden and NPN Münich, in cooperation with museums, theatres, univerities and dance production centres
